  1. Hello Teacher and classmates, here is summarize and my comments about the book I read.
DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO
This story starts with Tom, he was 17 years old and he wanted to be jockey but his family opposed, so he ran away from home. He could hitchhike a car and met Mr Masters and Shirley. After, Mr Masters asked him about many things and Tom answered him all the questions, then Mr Masters offered him a job and he asked him about the job and what it was. Masters only told him that he was getting 200 pounds. Tom wanted to ask further, but Masters told him that it was already late and that it would be better if he first went to bed. And that’s what Tom did.

The next day, Shirley went to Tom and asked him if he would like to go to the swimming pool and he accepted, she kiss him and When they got back to the house Masters told Tom that they were going to eat. But, Shirley didn’t enjoy them.

The next day Masters and Tom went to the place was Tom had to do the job. First they had been in the car for two hours. Then they got on a boat and went on the water. Masters showed him, and give him the ship. He told him that the ship sank a month ago. And that a bag with diamonds was still in it. It belongs to Masters. Tom had to dive the bag up. Then he could get his 200 pounds. Tom was scared but Shirley had to teach him

after a few days practising, the big day arrived. Tom had to dive. He wasn’t nervous at all. He knew he could do it.

When they were at the place where they had to dive, there was another man. His name was Clark, told Masters. He was going to help them; he was going to stay in the boat. When they had there scuba suits on them got into the water. Tom got into the boat whereas Masters waited by the entrance. But Tom couldn’t find the bag! He was in panic! What now! He couldn’t get back without a bag!! Masters would be very angry. And he wasn’t going to get his 200 pounds. He decided to look further. But he didn’t know if he would have enough air. After a few minutes he found the bag. He opened it but the only thing what came out was some with powder. Now, He realised that his air was running out. Tom had to go! He swam as fast as he could! He got out of the ship! Sudden he saw bubbles. Tom didn’t knew where they were coming from. Then he remembered Masters. He was waiting for him.
Masters’ air tube was caught round the metal. Then Masters stopped moving. He was drowning! Tom took of his belts and then his own. He swam up. Clark pulled Masters into the boat. After a while Clark man said: He’s dead.’’ Clark asked: Did you find the bag?’’ Yes, but there was only white powder in it. Clark didn’t say anything. .. What was in the bag? Tom asked. Drugs of course’’, he replied. Now Tom understands it. Masters didn’t want him to know that it was drugs
when they arrived at the water side there was Shirley. When she saw he father she’d got tears in her eyes. I’m sorry, very sorry’’, said Clark.

At the end Shirley and Tom decided not to tell the police about all this. They were going to live somewhere else, and start over again.
    My personal opinion:
I chose the story because a classmate said me that it was interesting and many things about the reading, but now I think that was confused and strange.
We usually choose a book just by reading the title… I think that this book was very normal and trivial.
    Thanks for your attention

    1. Ahmed was a really intelligent boy he began to study at a private school. But he was shy and he was the only Muslim kid at school, which makes him a “special” boy to his teacher because she thought Muslims were unfriendly and sometime harmful. Never the less, he did his best to have good grades and some friends. When he was in second grade, his brother Abid made a test to go to the same school, the results said he was over the intelligence of an average boy of his age, the counselor at the school advice Hassan and Ali to place him in fourth grade. They were concern about this situation, they knowledge Ahmed was a great and intelligent boy but they didn’t want to slow down Abid’s education. Years passed by, Abid look at his older brother like a dumb and he always tease him because he was the younger but he was two grades far from him. Ahmed became a depressed child; his parents ignored him because they were amused by Abid. When Ahmed became a teenager his grades went down and his math teacher commented to his parents about Ahmed depression. Hassan and Ali didn’t know what to do whit their older son, so they send him to a psychiatric hospital. The doctors recognized that Ahmed’s parents neglecting while he was growing up and the only thing he needs is his parents’ approval.
Meanwhile Tyron was also growing up. One day Jefferson talked to his daughter, he told her that he loves her very deeply but she was working too much and that she need to change her life, to get more involve into Tyron’s life. He advises her to go back to church and embraced the Lord again. She told him that she also wanted to quit her job so she could share more whit her son but she needed the money so both can have a better life. Jefferson promised to help her to find a better job and she promised him to go back to church. Months later he received a call from another minister, he needed a secretary and he knew that Vanessa was looking for a better job. Vanessa was hired. She was to be paid more and have normal office hours. Vanessa began to enjoy life again next to her son and her parents. Tyron was a great student and a private school offered him a scholarship. Life couldn't be better. Vanessa was really proud of her son. When Tyron was in his freshman year of high school her mother had to stay at home because she was sick. While he was getting home he saw an ambulance and some police cars next to his house, he was worried for his mom, but he stay positive he thought that probably something had happen next to it. When he arrived a police officer stopped him and told him there was a shooting and her mother was shot and passed away. Tyron couldn’t believe his luck, his father abandoned him when he was just a baby and now his mother was dead. He was taken to his grandfather house; he was the only one left.

    2. Ahmed’s was in his senior year at high school. His life had improved a lot since he left the psychiatric hospital. Now he has a good relationship with his brother and parents. He’s thinking in his future. He decides to study political science at Northwestern University. Tyron graduates from his private school and also received a scholarship at Northwestern University.
Ahmed and Tyron meet at the university. They become roommates. Ahmed’s family is worried because he’s sharing a room with a non-Muslim kid and he’s black. Jefferson is worried about his grandson because he isn’t use to shared whit wealthy people and less with people of other religions.

At the beginning Ahmed and Tyron didn’t get along because Ahmed parents don’t agree that a poor boy like Tyron can have help from the State and the University to study. They are also worry about Ahmed losing his faith. Tyron is interested to learn about Muslim culture and religion but he shows his disagreements about Muslims sharp reactions. This couple is very different but this differences help them learn what they like and dislike of each other. How each one is unique, it really doesn’t matter if you are reach or poor, if you’re white or black, if you believe in Jesus or Allah. “We are all the same” (Reynolds, 163)

      Comments.

To me, the book portraits a very heavy American culture. It makes you bond whit Tyron and Ahmed as you read through their lives. But is an amateur’s book. (The author is an undergraduate high school boy.)

      Comments:
I like the story, which recounts a series of events that occur in a dream, the characters that appear out of the ordinary, and the power of imagination can come up.
I do not like the story to the queen of hearts, because she is an authoritarian, selfish and oppressive woman who solves problems big or small, sending behead anyone who offends.

      Thank you.

  4. This is my summary about the BLACK CAT.

A man from prison wrote the story of how everything in his life fell apart. And he wanted to set the record straight because the next day was going to die. He loved animals and had plenty of them. Before long, he married. His wife loved animals too, and filled the house with a variety of them. One was a totally black cat named Pluto. When man began to drink alcohol, his personality was becoming malignant. Began to abuse his wife and their pets. One night, a man came to the house drunk, I grabbed Pluto and cut his eye with a knife. One morning the man hung Pluto from a tree in his garden, killing him. The man said he had done because he knew the cat was malignant. That night the man's house caught fire and collapsed. Only man, his wife and a servant remained alive. When the man returned the next day, there was a crowd staring at the wall of his bedroom. On the wall was the shape of a cat with a rope around his neck. He thought that one of the neighbors had thrown through his window to wake him, and that somehow became stuck in the plaster wall. This upset the man for long. One night when he was out, came a black cat that was similar to Pluto, except for a small white patch on the chest. The man took him home, then discovered that this cat also was missing an eye, and began to despise. After some time, the wife notices that the white spot on the cat's skin has grown. Interestingly, the spot looked as a gallows. The cat would not let the man alone for a moment. His hatred of cats increased, and his madness. In a fit of extreme irritation, try to kill the cat man with an ax, then his wife tried to stop him, but killed her with an ax. Then the man decided to hide the body in a space behind the basement wall. Police began searching the body without success. Just as they were about to leave and abandon their quest, the man bragging about how well built it was the house, took his stick and hit him to the wall where was hidden the body of his wife, then a noise responded to your call It was a sad sound, like a child crying, sounded terrible and desperate, the police opened the wall and found the body of the wife, with the cat on top of his head. The man had accidentally locked the cat on the wall with the body. And that's why the man was to be sentenced to death by hanging.

I liked so much this story because contains a lot of amazing, exciting and scare scenes, also a lot of characters full of mistery and madness, Is really a terrorific and wonderful story

  5. Hi everybody! This is my story: “The big sleep”

The General Sternwood was a rich man but sick because his two pretty daughters, Carmen and Vivian, were very trouble. He was blackmailed by an unknown person, this person said that he had a bad thing about Carmen because she was wild and did not know what she did. So, he decided to take on the Private detective Philip Marlowe for founding him.Afterward, the General gave him a packet with papers. There was a card inside it with the name Mr. Arthur Geiger, Specialist Bookseller, but no address. The general Sterwood did not know who was he. So then, the problem was in Marlowe's hands.

Marlowe began researching about Geiger because he was principal suspect. So, Marlowe went Mr Geiger’s bookstore and there he asked to the secretary (Agnes), but she known nothing. Suddenly, a tall man got and brought a misterious packet. Next, private detective followed him and he saw the man had left the packet between two houses surrounded by trees. Then, he waited and picked it up. Immediately, he opened the packet and found a heavy book, full of pornographics photographs. The Geiger’s store was a library ugly.

Afterwards, Marlowe waited Mr. Geiger in his car and followed him until Mr. Geiger’s house. While Marlowe waited him, he heard a terrible scream and three shots, so he ran to the front door. A car drove quickly away from the back of the house. Then, he kicked in a window and found Mrs Carmen undressed and drugged with Mr. Geiger on the floor dead, next to a camera without roll. After, Marlowe carried her to her house. When they got, Norris, who was the Mr. Sterwood’s butler, opened the door and Marlowe left her there.

The next morning, Marlowe was drinking his coffee when his telephone rang, was Bernie Ohls, the District Attorney’s chief investigator for communicating him about Owen Taylor’s death, he was the Sternwood’s chauffeur. Then, private detective found out that Owen Taylor was in love with Carmen and the blackmailer was Geiger, so he had to decide killing him because he incommoded her more. Also, Malowe found out the thief of the roll, was Joe Brody. Marlowe went to his house and found him with the Mr. Geiger’s secretary. They told him about the new blackmail and they recognized that they had called to Vivian for blackmailing her. Meanwhile, Vivian was getting the money in the Eddie Mars’s Cyprees Club.

Afterward, Brody gave to Marlowe the Carmen’s photos. Suddenly, sounded the door and he opened, unfortunately, the same unknown person that was in the library shot to Brody and killed him because he wanted to take the Mr. Geiger’s bookstore. Marlowe caught him. His name was Carol Lundgren, the detective asked questions and carried him to Police Station.

Marlowe also found out a case about a Vivian’s old friend (Regan) and Eddie Mars’ wife (Mona) were disappeared. Thereafter, Marlow was into his house thinking about Eddie Mars and went visiting him to his Club. He realized that Vivian was giving money to Eddie.

After, an Eddie’s ruffian called Lash Canino, hit to the detective and he fallen down over floor. When he woke up, he saw to Mona and asked that helped him to escape before Lash Canino came back. Upon arriving Lash, Marlowe shot and killed him.

Finally, Marlowe went Sternwood’s house and told Vivian what had happening. He was in love with Vivian. They kept the secret about the Rusty Regan’s death and Vivian said that she looked after Carmen .

My personal opinion: This novel was very wonderful, full of suspense all the time. The detective found new events and only not he wanted to know who were the murderers but to know how happened these.

"It’s very important to know the way of our lives and only not the goal".

  7. Hi everyone!!!

    OLIVER TWIST (Charles Dickens)

This is the story of a little boy, his name is Oliver Twist; he had a childhood really difficult, because his mother died when he came to this world, and he had to live like an orphan, in a house with two people who feed him badly and treated him terrible, and then, they sold him (as an object) to an undertaker, because they thought that he had the age to work; with the undertaker the situation wasn’t different that the past, he had to sleep in a hole in the floor, and people’s treatment was really bad, specially by the undertaker’s wife and a child called Noah Claypole.

For this reason, he escaped from that house to London, he had terrible situations in the way, but he didn’t want to return; when he was near to London, he found another child who carried him to a little and poor house, where were more children like him, and an old man called Fagin; they treated him really good, but then he realized that they were pickpockets when, in a street, they robbed a man’s wallet, the man looked back, and he only saw to Oliver; Oliver was caught by the police, but the man didn’t want to accuse him, and he carried him to his house, soon, they were in the house, and Oliver looked a picture, the man looked it too, and thought that the woman in the picture looked like the boy.

The man’s name was Mr. Brownlow; he and all the people in his house were good with Oliver, and he was happy, but, one day, Nancy, one of the members of Fagin’s band, looked him and carried him to Fagin’s house; again, Oliver was obligated to rob, but in this time was in a house, their plan went bad, and Oliver received a shot in his shoulder, and the other children left him, the family in the house cured him, and when he was well, he returned to Mr. Brownlow house.

In the other hand, a man was searching information about Oliver and disappearing it, that man went to Fagin’s house and said him that Oliver had to come back to the crime; time later, by Nancy, Mr. Brownlow and Oliver knew this plan, and also knew, that the man was his brother, who wanted to have all the money that their father left, at the end of the story, Oliver had a good life with his half part of that money, and all the robbers were caught.

    Comments:

Oliver Twist is the mirror of the children of 1930 in London, and actually in some parts of the world, but, different that some of them, he has a good heart, and he hope to find a good family, he is brave and for this reason I liked this story, it taught me to smile in the worst situation, because something new, different, and really good is waiting for the people who smile to the life.

THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER - MARK TWAIN

This story was about a boy called Tom Sawyer who always got into trouble. He lived in Saint Petersburg with his aunt Poly, his brother Sid and his cousin Mary. One day, Tom did not go to school because he hated it and he preferred go swimming. When he came back home, his Aunt whipped him. Then, as a punishment, Tom had to paint the white fence of his house. But Tom tricked some children in his neighborhood into painting the fence by pretending that it was a fun thing to do. After that, he went to play with his friend Joe Harper. On his way back home, he saw a beautiful girl and he immediately fell in love.

On Monday morning before school, Tom met his friend Huckleberry Finn. All the mothers in the town did not like him because he was not a good boy. Huck said to Tom that he needed to find a cure for warts. Then, they agreed to meet at the graveyard at midnight, to try a new cure that involved a dead cat. Because of this, Tom arrived late to class and he had to sit near to the beautiful girl. Her name was Becky Thatcher. Becky told Tom she wanted to learn drawing. After that, they met during the recess where Becky told Tom she loved him and he kissed her.

At midnight, Tom and Huck went to the grave yard. When they arrived there, three men appeared: Doctor Robinson, Injun Joe and Muff Potter. The men started to fight and the doctor hit Potter who fell to the ground. Then, Injun Joe took Potter´s knife and murdered the Doctor. When Potter woke up, he believed he had killed the doctor. Tom and Huck ran quickly to the village. They promised never to tell anyone about what they had seen and signed a blood pact.

Next day, Injun Joe told his great lie and Potter went to prison. Then, Tom, Huck and Joe decided to go to Jackson´s Island and become pirates. They stayed there for several days. The townspeople believed they were dead. The entire town was assembled in church for boy´s funeral when they appeared. Next day, the boys were treated as heroes at school. Soon, murder trial started. Everything was against Muff Potter, but suddenly, Tom told the truth but Injun Joe ran away from the court.

One day, Tom told Huck he wanted to dig for a treasure and they went to search inside a hunting house. There, they saw Injun Joe and another man who were hiding some money. But when they saw the boy´s tools in the corner, they took the coins and went out. When the boys came back to the town, Becky invited everyone to a picnic. Tom and Becky went inside the great cave with the rest of the kids. But they both were lost there, no one noticed until Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Tom was looking for a way out of the cave when he saw Injun Joe. Luckily, Tom found his way out of a small hole, and he could return to the town with Becky after three days. Once Tom was recovered, he went to visit Becky and her father told him that the entrance of the cave had been sealed with a metal door. Tom said to him that Injun Joe was in there, but when they opened the door, Joe was dead.

After that, Tom and Huck came back to the cave and found the money. They carried their treasure and went to Mrs. Douglas ´house. She told everyone that she would take care of Huck from that moment. Tom and Huck placed their money in several good companies and they received a considerable income as a result. Huck did not like his new life. Then, he left Mrs. Douglas but Tom convinced him to go back and live with her.

Finally, I consider that, it was a great and interesting book for me. What I liked the most about it were the amazing adventures and funny stories that Tom and his friends lived every day. I could not stop reading this book until I finished it, because I wanted to know what would happen in the next chapter. Besides, this story transported me back to my childhood, where imagination was enough to find fun.

  9. Animal Farm, George Orwell: Animals disguised of animals.

Animal Farm is a good story of ten emotive chapters about the evolution of a dictatorship. The new farm’s doctrine is the Animalism, it is an absolutist theory based on real doctrines: capitalism, Nazism, fascism, franquism, etc., and especially: communism. Animal Farm is an English creative version of Stalin’s dictatorship implanted after of Russian Revolution.
The main characteristic of the book is the exposition of the idea: “with the time a revolution becomes a change of dictators in the power. So if Mister Jones’ government was bad, the change, Napoleon’s government, would be worse.

Each animal is the representation of a human inside the context of Soviet Socialism., for instance, Old Major –the dog– the main character of the first chapter, is the figure of Marx, Engels and Lenin. Napoleon –a boar– is Stalin, and his enemy: Snowball is Trotsky, they wished Mister Jones’ power; he, the owner of the farm, is the symbol of the Russian Traditional Czar.
Moreover the town is represented; there are diligent workers: Boxer (a horse) and Clover (a female horse), indifferent citizens: Benjamin (a donkey), common voters: the hens, the Russian Orthodox Church: Moses (a raven), the communist party: the pigs, and the stupid assistants: the sheep.

The story starts with the Old Major´s speech where he encourages to the animals to undertake a revolution against Mister Jones. The dog dies but his ideas continue living in the mind of the other animals, especially between the pigs. They learn to write and read and soon are ready for starting the rebellion in the farm.

There are two leaders: Napoleon and Snowball. They direct the fight, and the animalism wins the battle against the humanity. After they are enemies. Snowball has ideas for improving the well-being of the farm, with the construction of a windmill; on the other hand Napoleon trains some angry dogs for his safety and to a pig called Squealer who means Stalin´s propaganda.

In the development of the story different facts occur: Snowball´s exile, Boxer´s sale, some business with humans and the use of the coercion. At the end the main objective of the rebellion is forgotten, the seven commandments are disrespected, and the first motto that the sheep repeated is the changed; before the Animalism said: “Four legs good, two legs bad” and when the pigs learned to walk in two legs it said: “Four legs good, two legs better”.

The association between the book and the communism is summarized in the sentence: “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others”, it explains also the corruption with the eggs and the milk, and the idea of that the pigs are better than the other animals of the farm.

  10. What I read?
The book’s name is “The secret garden” by Frances Hodgson and it tells the story of a little ugly girl, her name is Mary Lenox, she was so unhappy with her life. Nobody loves Mary and Mary loves nobody. She lived in India and she had a lot of servants that did that entire she wanted, but his mother did not love her, when she was born Mrs. Lenox gave Mary to a servant and said that she never want to see her. So, Mary always was in bed, she was a spoiled child. She cried about everything.
One day she woke up and any servant came to her room that was so strange for her. She went outside and heard some people talking about a tragedy, her palace tragedy. Her parents had died and most of the servants had run away. Mary had to live with Mr. and Mrs. Crawford for a few days, they were his parent’s friends but she was so unkind with them. They sent to Mary to live with his uncle, Mr. Craven, in Yorkshire. When she arrived there Mary was afraid because of his uncle was a hunchback, he doesn’t like nobody and nobody likes him.
Mr. Craven had a big house with amazing gardens. Mary was so bored that one day decides to go in there. She started to know new people but everybody was so unfriendly with her. Suddenly she was so interested in gardening and animals that she tried to find out a secret garden which everybody in the house talked but was forbid to know about it. She had a friend; its name was robin and was a beautiful brown charming bird. He magically showed to Mary the secret garden’s key and door. She felt so happy and vitally, she decided to work on this garden to make it green and beautiful. Martha, a kind servant, told to the little girl the secret garden story. Mrs. Craven had died in that garden, since that Mr. Craven hated to everybody and threw away the secret garden key. Mary cannot believe magic’s robin.
Then she knew to Colin, his cousin, he lived in his room and he was like Mary, he didn’t want to see anyone, he thought that he will become in a hunchback and he felt so unhappy, he every night cried and was so unkind and rude with people. But she helped to him and they make the secret garden beautiful and green with Dickon’s help who was the Martha’s brother.
Finally Mr. Craven discovered to them and felt so happy because his son was health and fat.
In my opinion I think that the ending was incomplete. I had hope in that robin was the Colin’s mother but in a general view the story was pretty interesting, full of magic spaces and innocence. It let us a great moral: When you think sad or unkind things, it is bad for you. In India, Mary did not like people- she did not like anything! So she was ill and cross. Then she came to Yorkshire. There she thought about secret gardens and robins. She was pretty child now, and she was nicer and happier. It was the same with Colin. Before he met Mary, he thought only about his back. But now he thought about his new friends and the secret garden.

  11. Murders in the rue Morgue
The novel tells us about two friends that lives in a parisian mansion very special that was abandoned. The name of one of them is C. Auguste Dupin and the other is the narrator of the novel. These friends try to research about the murder of two women of the French nobleness, Madame l'Espanaye and her daughter Mademoiselle Camille. These two women were found on their house absolutely mutilated and the murder doesn’t have clues to find the killer. Dupin and his friend decide to research themselves.
With the passing of the facts, Dupin is careful in every detail of the investigation and concluded that this murder could only have been done by an orangutan. To corroborate this theory, Dupin put a fake ad in the daily newspaper saying that an orangutan had been found and that to recover it had to go to the direction of the Faubourg Saint-Germain, the address where our protagonists lived.
Shortly after comes to the dupin's house a Maltese pirate that tells them after discovering the falsity of the announcement, that the orangutan had escaped and had entered the house of the murdered ladies and that he had failed to do anything to avoid the murder, because the animal had a huge rage and could not do anything to stop him, so he decided run leaving the situation as the police found it.
thanks to the Pirate's conclusive statements occurred resolution of murder and police released the suspect that remained in jail as the guilty of murder and, some time later, the orangutan was sold to a zoo.
    My opinion:
I think that is is the perfect story to read if a person is boring, is very interesting and have a final that nobody expected, is a text very easy to read and I recommend it to the people that search entertainment.

  15. Summarize and a new version about the president´s murderer

A murder, a victim, a policeman, a chief, a man and a story. The man ran faster, his objective was to hide in the trees; there no one could saw him. His pursuers were the police, lead for a good policeman. For them that man was the murderer, for that reason, he should return to prison but he wanted to see his wife and run away he did not want to be in a prison. His alleged victim was the old president, nobody wanted that president, but less to the new president, and no one wanted to the police, none people wanted help them, for that reason, people wanted to help to the man and they said him for where to escape, but the love did that to catch him, only he knew the truth, but a shot did that he shut up for keeps.

What was the object for each character? The man was run away, the policeman was catching him, the people were help him, the chief was kill him. All their objects were consequence of a murderer about old president. So, what do you infer about that story?

The big question is: how was the murderer? How was the bad character in this story? Maybe was the man, perhaps was the police or maybe was a suicide. I know, but you do not know it, do you? So this book is waiting for you, because this crime needs to be resolute for a curious reader, like you. Hurry up!

    Personal comments about the book

First of all, I liked plot, since the story did me to deduce about the truthful murderer, because I think that when a reader asks question, is because of the reading is good. On the other hand, I liked all book, because this had a coherent structure and the book had an accessible speech for my; so I do not have to say nothing wrong about the book.

  16. "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" starts in a city called Edimburgo, Londres, where lived a man called Utterson who was a lawyer. The story describes first his life and his work. One day he met a horrible man called Edward Hyde, people said that he was an evil person without feelings because to him was not important if he hit someone when he walked or if someone was afraid of his strange form of talking, watching and walking because his appearance physical as horrible and he transmited only fear. He looked like The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Utterson wanted to know more about Mr.Hyde when discovered in one of the testaments that he had, that was a realationship between Hyde and Jekyll, because that man was an important doctor for his titles, honours and economic position but Hyde was not.
Utterson and the Dr. Jekyll had a friendship, and Utterson wanted to help him because Hyde was living un Dr. Jekyll's house and his reputation had been affecting for that. The lawyer was worried for his friend's life, for that, he tried to discover who was really Mr. Hyde, then Dr. Jekyll would know with whom he was living. But Jekyll did not listen Utterson and always ran of him when he talked about Hyde.
Time later, the lawyer discovered that the Dr. Jekyll was Mr. Hyde in a letter to Utterson, that Jekyll put on the desk of his laboratory. That letter said how for a potion Jekyll could divide himself in two parts. One of those, was the Doctor (his good side) the important and respectable man in the society, and another was Mr. Hyde (his evil side) recognized as a ugly and negligible man for his bad actions. Also, that evil side gave him the pleasure and satisfaction that his titles and honours did not give him, when he drank the potion he could be the personas that he always had wanted to be, not a bad man, so a happy man without limits of education or moral questions, he was free. But, he after became in a slave of the potion and his evil and sweet side.
That ambition of pleasure ended in Jekyll's death. But Hyde lived, he could rob Jekyll's spirit when Jekyll died. The doctor, before of his death, created another potion that could make real por visible anything that was invisble like spirits, ghosts, etc, the Mr. Hyde take that because he just knwe that Jekyll went to die and he went to live for ever because he would be a body with age of a spirit.

I believe that it is a exellent story because says us how is important our doble composition as humans, because we always have one life that people can see and can comment but those things limit our thoughts, ideals and our own happiness , for that we make good things for the rest but for us not. So, we need to do things that will give us real happiness without comments or ideas.
We are a person with two faces, and the hidden face that we do not show is necessary for to be a full person. Example: Why do you have an account in Facebook, Twitter, etc., and in those you do things that in person you never will do?

    Thanks!

  18. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

Elizabeth Bennet is the second one of five daughters of the Mr. and Ms. Bennet, and preferred by his father for his intelligence and vivacity, qualities that were turning her in least wanted for his mother. Comes to the region Charles Bingley, single and wealthy young person on whom at once all the local ladies put the look, especially the lady Bennet, whose only intention in the life was to marry well his five daughters before the cousin of his husband, Mr. Collins, was taking Longbourn's possession and his fortune to the death of the same one. In a dance they have the opportunity to know Bingley, who had represented in company of his two sisters, his brother-in-law and his friend, Fitzwilliam Darcy.
Bingley at once demonstrated his cheerful character and good manners, danced with Jane, major sister of Elizabeth, beautiful, sensitive girl and of good heart, for whom he felt immediate attraction. Darcy, on the contrary, to little moment disillusioned to all the presents with his proud and haughty character, in spite of being a man much richer than the first one and more attractive. It did not want to take part of the holiday, and when Bingley offered him to dance with Elizabeth sat to few distance of him, this one despised her for not being it sufficiently nice to have it. To Elizabeth, though that one did not hurt him for the strong of his character, yes it helped him form the first disagreeable image of the man.
Nevertheless, hereinafter, in the following opportunities that have to be known, Elizabeth causes an agreeable impression in Darcy with his simple and playful character, in spite of the fact that the first meeting between them had determined for the young woman a disagreeable person considered it. This way there passes the history in which Jane Austen, in a light and enterteining sense, describes the history of how both young people manage to know well in different meetings, in which to be accepted, it has to Darcy overcome his pride and haughtiness, and Isabel change the prejudice that had been done of him.

  22. THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY
The story began when Basil and his friend Lord Henry were in a room. There Basil had a portrait that he had been painting for a long time. While they were talking about the man in the portrait, Dorian Grey went into the room; he was who had posed to Basil. He acted like he worried nothing, then Lord Henry advised him that he had to go out and enjoy all things the life offered him, because someday beauty and youth would end. After that Dorian looked at his portrait and shouted Basil asked him why had he ruined his life? And Dorian wished that the painting grow old and wrinkled and he would stay young forever. Basil was horrified to see Dorian in that state and he tried to destroy the painting, but Dorian did not let it. He asked Basil that he sent the painting to his house, because Dorian wanted with him.
Days later Basil and Lord Henry received a letter in which Dorian invited them to the theatre in the night, because he was in love with and actress named Sibyl. That night Sibyl acted so bad that Dorian's friends were disappointed of her. Like Dorian was annoyed he discussed with her and he told her that he wanted to look her any more. Next day Dorian thought that he had been very hard with her and he was sorry. Then he decided to write a letter to Sibyl asked her apologies but Lord Henry arrived to tell him that Sibyl had died. He cried and went to look at the painting and he saw a strange change in the painting, it was like a kind of mirror which reflected the state of his soul.
Years passed and the man in the painting was old and Dorian was youth. Basil went to the Dorian’s house to say goodbye because he went to travel to Paris. But Dorian told him all about the strange changes that happened in the painting. After Dorian and Basil went to look at the painting and suddenly Dorian took a knife and stabbed Basil. After that Dorian looked at the painting and in one of the man’s hand was full of blood. Then Dorian asked help to a friend named Alan Campbell. When Alan arrived, Dorian told him that he had killed his friend Basil. Alan did not want to help him, but Dorian blackmailed him.
That night Dorian went out to drink something and when he came back home suddenly a man took off a revolver to kill him, because he wanted to avenge his sister’s death. Bur Dorian told him that he was not the man that he looked for and he asked him how long she died. And the man answered eighteen years ago. Then Dorian told him just looked at my face and the man asked him apologies because Dorian looked about twenty. Although Dorian looked handsome and young he felt that his life was evil. He went to look at the painting and it had blood in the both hands. So he decided that the only one solution was to destroy the painting. Finally he used a knife to destroy the painting; the same knife he had used to kill Basil. Dorian stabbed the picture violently and a loud scream was heard. When the servants arrived they saw a magnificent painting of their master with all his youth and beauty and lying on the floor in front of the portrait was a dead man with a knife in his heart. The man had his face wrinkled and hideous. The dead man was Dorian Gray.

  23. The stranger

Hi classmates and teacher hope you are well.
The book that I read is the stranger by Albert Camus I would like to describe the most important scenes in this story. This book started with a man who received a call, the message in that his mother has passed away and the funeral is soon. When he was in front of coffin he did not feel anything, actually He just could think about latent heat that was doing instead his mother´s death. And by the other hand this personage felt something for someone but he refused to believe that he fell in love, even on the book showed that Meursault and Marie got a relationship however it was rare. And finally the scene more important was when he was in the beach and his best friend Raymond was in danger, Meursault had a gun and pulled the trigger to Raymond`s enemies he did not do it for his friend but because sun was shining and disturbing him. After that a couple of cops arrived and got him to the jail. He just thought about that it is no important to die today, tomorrow in a month, in a couple of months or in one year. He analyzed that to live or to die it was not relevant for him.
I really liked this book because I enjoyed so much topic about existentialism and psychological realist because this changed mi point of view since there is a few time for thinking about what beautiful is our lives. We do not have to fall in an apathetic life such as Meursault, we have to overcome any difficulty.
What I honestly disliked me was that man had everything and he did not take advantage of those things he had: love, a good job, food, money, health etc. and he ignored everything
